Bee influencer, first in the world, to save the species using funds raised on Instagram

‘B’ is what the world’s first bee influencer is called. It may sound rare, but B is out to save the world. On Instagram, with a shocking following of 125,000, the bee influencer is actually soliciting funds to help keep the species alive. And B is doing it with the best imagery you could imagine!

You’ve got to love the B!

B is busy bee’ing Instagram goals and at the same time trying to stay alive.

She posts photos of herself traveling the world, rocking trends, sharing beauty routines, serving legs relaxing by luxury hotel pools, or anything else you can think of. But her main goal is to raise awareness on the annual global decline of bees.

It turns out that every year, 24% of bees die in Europe alone. “In France, more than 30% of bee colonies disappear each year,” the bee funding website revealed. And surprisingly, this loss is attributed to agricultural practices.

Yet as pollinators, bees play a vital role in our global food system. 75% of the world’s agricultural crops are pollinated by bees. “In fact, they’re to thank for one out of every three bites of food we eat,” Modern Met wrote. Without them, food would be scarce.

So this account was created by Fondation de France for the purpose of saving bees and the human race as a whole.

“I want to please brands around the world to raise money to save bees, many of which disappear every year,” says B.

“I need you: the more followers I have on Instagram, the more interested brands are and the more money I will collect.”

“Protecting bees means protecting the planet, but also humankind,” B adds.

The bee influencer isn’t real, however, it looks like the cause is beginning to gain ground

Actually, B is a CGI honey bee but that’s more than enough to land it some influencer deals — especially in an age of virtual influencers and the like.

“B aims to generate ad revenue via social media and then donate everything to the Bee Fund charity”

So far, B hasn’t explicitly revealed who they’ve worked with (aside a number of talented photographers she tags in her posts). For now, we know she’s been to Pride Paris, done a shoot for World Food Day and Montmartre’s 2019 grape harvest festival.

Nevertheless, there are plans underway. In fact, she said in a post that she’d be announcing a few of them soon.

In the mean time, all we can do is enjoy the bee influencer’s marvelous photography and donate or subscribe to the cause through beefund.fondationdefrance.org
