Influencer breaks down in tears over Instagram’s decision to hide likes?

It’s been barely a week since Instagram put out their newest update in some countries. However, the reactions to their decision to hide likes are unending. So far, several Australian influencers have shown their disapproval — but this one takes the cake! Mikaela Testa burst out into tears, claiming she’s “suffering” as a result of the update. And now, critics won’t give her a break!

Wait she did what?

An Instagram star, with over 40,000 followers has gone viral for her ‘distinct’ reaction to Instagram’s new update.

About a week ago, the photo-video sharing app released an update, which would have users no longer seeing their like or video views count. Some were ecstatic about it, but most weren’t.

First, Tammy Hembrow swore to delete the app if the update ever came out. Then, fitness influencer Jem Wolfie said it was “demotivating” for her to not see likes.

And now, Mikaela Testa is apparently shedding hot tears over it.

If you think this is okay you can f**k off, it’s actually a sad day for those who have Instagram as a job,” she wrote on Facebook.

“Regardless of what you may think Instagram is a REAL job and those in the industry have worked hard to get where they’re at. It’s people that aren’t even in the industry that think it’s a f***ing joke. It’s not, it’s real damage out here,” she further wrote.

“I’ve put my blood, sweat and tears into this for it to be ripped away, it’s not just me suffering too, it’s every brand and business I know.

“Instagram isn’t even doing this for mental health they’re just doing it so they can control all engagement so more businesses run their adverts through Instagram essentially giving them more $, they don’t care about your feelings.”

And then Mikaela posted a video where the influencer breaks down into tears, announcing she was taking break from Instagram.

“Leaving social media for the first time ever. Not sure when i’ll be back but i’m mentally screwed”.

Looks like the Insta star lacks sympathy on her side

On Facebook, many people are upset about Mikaela’s break down. Many people think she should find a ‘real’ job, while others think she’s just a baby.

“Welcome to the real world,” one person wrote.

“Get a life and a job while you’re at it,” another said. “Guuurl needs to get back in touch with reality.”

“You need likes for money? Get a real job then honestly you’re such a cry baby,” one person commented.

“Influencer is a real job, ffs give me a break you wouldn’t know what hard work or a real job is all about,” another critic hit at her.

Soon after, Mikaela corrected her video’s caption, saying it had nothing to do with Instagram’s update.

“Since there are a few rude people misinterpreting this video, this has nothing to do with insta removing likes that is the dumbest thing I’ve heard, this has everything to do with the disgusting hurtful comments and messages I’ve received over the past week and I just need a break.”

She then explained that being an influencer was real to her because it actually PAYS!

“Why do you sell pics of your body? Because it f***ing sells xx” she wrote on a picture. In this picture, you see records of her Instagram earnings, which once run as high as $50,000!

“Y’all can say what you want, imma keep chasin the bag and that is that.”

Meanwhile this isn’t the first time an influencer breaks down in tears over something Instagram did.

In April, Insta-star Jesse Taylor also went viral for crying after Instagram blocked her account. It worked though — her account was restored the following week!
