Internet users troll influencer over the size of her engagement ring?

It’s been weeks and people can still not get over it. Influencer couple, Dhar Mann and Laura G, planned & executed a 7-day proposal scavenger hunt, and it was simply lovely. But when on the last day Dhar went down his knee to give his bride-to-be an engagement ring, it was all frowns from internet users. Many have complained of ‘disappointment’, while others have called the ring ‘hideous’.

Laura said yes but Instagram said no!

Even after giving viewers an Instagram-worthy marriage proposal — at the Eiffel Tower, the couple are still ‘cancelled’. Why? Because the ring does not match up!

Nearly 2M people followed when Dhar took his love, Laura through a seven-day luxurious proposal adventure. And when they spent three of those days in the city of love, Paris, users were love-struck!

On the 7th day, Laura announced that Dhar popped the question and flaunted her ring on social media. And that was when the ‘ring-shaming’ internet users came out in full force!

On a Facebook group called “That’s it, I’m Ring Shaming”, one unimpressed user wrote:

“An influencer that I adore just got engaged after a week long scavenger hunt proposal that led them to Paris and then comes back with this atrocity.”

“It looks like something I would have received as part of a prize at an arcade when I was 5 and would wear for a week until the ring part snapped,” another user commented.

“All that for something I can get out of my daughter’s toy box?”, one other member wrote.

“It’s comically huge and looks fake…The stones and setting are wider than her actual finger. It’s so out of proportion.”

The heat was less on Instagram however

While internet users on Facebook were taking turns mocking the influencer’s ring, Instagram followers were all praise. Beneath her posts, many were actually impressed with the ring.

“That ROCKKKKK 😍😍😍,” one person wrote. “Go BIG OR GO HOME!💖💖💖 I say do BOTH!! lol GORGEOUSss Ring!!💍💎 Gorgeousss EVERYTHING!!💞,” another wrote.

“Ring goals!! 😻😻😻😻😻 It’s GORGEOUS just like you!”

And this is probably because followers on Instagram got all the scoop on the beautiful engagement proposal.

The couple teased the proposal, which has since been turned into a YouTube episode, and shows a series of luxury activities lined up before the groom-to-be got down on one knee at the Eiffel Tower.

On day one, he blindfolded his girlfriend and surprised her with a new home. Day two, Dhar sent Laura’s family on a relaxing spa day, after getting permission from her parents to propose.

The third day was a full day shopping spree in Beverly Hills.

Days four and five? Disneyland Paris was on the cards while a fancy hotel room surprise made the cut on day six.

And on the final day, a lovely candlelit dinner — with violinists and fireworks– on the Eiffel Tower saw the lovebirds getting engaged.

The proposal video has already had over 370,000 views since it was uploaded earlier this month and 30,000 “likes”.

“Although Dhar hasn’t revealed how much he spent on Laura’s ring, he previously proposed to ex Shahs of Sunset star Lilly Ghalichi with a £1m sparkler before their split in 2014,” The Sun reported.
