Kihmberlie: Talented Insta star who creates awesome pictures from bedroom

Instagram is full of creatives but this one is pretty incredible. Kimberly Douglas, known on Instagram as Kihmberlie, stuns followers with amazing high-fashion images. But here’s the shocking part — they’re often shot in her bedroom! She uses basic household items — duct tape, ropes, mattresses, whatever; and transforms them into the best images you’d ever see on the gram.

I honestly didn’t think this shoot was going to work out at first, I was going to pin all of the leaves to the wall but I didn’t have enough pins, then I was going to take the photo from above but I didn’t have enough leaves and I wanted to look like I was in a rainforest. Eventually it was like 💡…to hot glue all of my fake leaves to the two art boards I had, then I put on a bikini top, dunked my head in the tub, sprayed my face, neck, and entire upper body with water and started taking photos 😂 (Thanks to God it all came together in the end 😂🙌🏾)((swipe for the bts/during photos)) Inspired by: @uuanjie’s photo of @dmeiyue (((photo is in my story I don’t know why it didn’t post with all the other photos 🤦🏾‍♀️)))

Kihmberlie kills it without even trying too hard

With the right lighting, backdrop, clothes, poses and professional cameras, you can achieve anything on Instagram. But these usually come at a hefty cost!

Kihmberlie, though, is doing all these and showing us how to try it AT HOME. The Insta star, whose account has almost 90K followers, is a true genius at nailing any shoot you can think of. From magazine cover shots, flower backdrops, technicolor backgrounds, dizzying heights — just anything at all.

In an interview with Metro UK, Kihmberlie explained her inspiration

Kimberly Douglas told Metro.co.uk how she started sharing the background shots because no one else was doing it.

“I wanted to show people that you can still create something dope even if you don’t have a huge budget or expensive equipment and I also thought it was pretty cool,” she said.

“My shoots take at the least eight hours from start to finish. I usually just find things around my house or use what I already have for the majority of my shoots”

And when asked about money, Kihmberlie revealed she doesn’t spend more than ” $40 (€32) except for rare occasions”.

“Out of all of the shoots I’ve done so far this year, only one has cost more than $100 (€91)”, she added.

Her ultimate goal is to get signed by a modelling agency, and Kihmberlie says her following grew when she posted some of her work on Twitter.

“My following grew when I posted the process of one of my shoots on Twitter and kind of just kept going after that. I started all of this to gain modelling experience and it just took a life of its own.”

Her Instagram is also super interactive with an impressive average of 16,000 likes on each photo.
