Nigella Lawson, popular foodie, launches app for food photography

Pictures form a huge part of the food blogging business. But Nigella Lawson has always thought Instagram ruins the beauty of food photos. For this reason, she’s developed her own app! Foodim, is Lawson’s new creation for taking the most delicious pictures of food– and for sharing them as well!

Nigella Lawson, popular foodie, launches app solely for food photography

Famous cook and cookbook author, Nigella Lawson, really did great with this one. When she realized the gap between a good cooked meal and the pictures to prove it, she knew she had to act.

“It has always been vexing to me that there is no dedicated food photography app, and so many of the filters and so on that are meant to applied on general photography apps do food no favours”, she wrote on her blog.

“So, based on the principle that if something you want doesn’t exist, just go ahead and make it, I’ve been working for some time with my longtime cameraman to develop a food photography app with a built-in filter designed to optimize food and a back-of-shot blur dependent on the angle of the phone (as well as a draw-to-blur feature) to give depth of field”.

And just like that, Foodim was born!
