Sophie is obviously not about that ‘influencer life’

Sophie Turner has officially joined the bandwagon against influencers. It’s no secret that some influencers advertise harmful products — some of which they themselves have been affected by.

But Sophie is clearly not up for all that — especially with the products related to weight loss.

So in an Insta live broadcast, the Game of Thrones star used filters to ‘look like an influencer’ and acted out a funny influencer satire. With red rosy cheeks, lips, and a fake voice, she said;

“Hey guys, just kind of going for my influencer look today…,” she began.

“Today I just wanted to promote this new powdered stuff that you put in your teeth, and basically it makes you sh*t your brains out!”

…and is totally really really bad for me to be promoting to young women and young people everywhere. But I don’t really give a f*ck because I’m getting paid money. Influencer life!!”

And she’s not the only celebrity to complain

It may be that because Sophie is an advocate for mental health, this is in line with the cause.

However, there are other celebrities who have seriously condemned influencer marketing. As far back as last year, actress Jameela Jamil, called out numerous Instagram influencers for selling harmful weight loss tea products.

Also, she recently ranted on Khloe Kardashian’s post about some sort of flat tummy tea, asking her to act “smarter.”
