Yup, the Pope did that! At the World Youth Day mass in Panama, where over 700,000 had gathered, the Pope gave his speech on ” young people and ‘influencers’ before social media”.
During the speech, Pope Francis explained that being an “influencer” in the 21st century means being “guardians of everything that can make us feel part of one another.” And with that in mind, Jesus’ mother Mary, was the first influencer ever.
“Be guardians of everything that can make us feel part of one another, to feel that we belong”, the Pope said.
Shortly after, he went on and tweeted about it. He wrote;
“With her ‘yes’, Mary became the most influential woman in history. Without social networks, she became the first ‘influencer’: the ‘influencer’ of God. #Panama2019.”

The comments that followed were hilarious!
It didn’t take too long to get the internet triggered! The replies were epic, with most of them making fun of the Pope’s tweet.
One person joked, “if you ask me, the Bible was the first ‘post.” “And so it was said in the book of Snapchaticus 4:20. Praise be”, another craftily added.
Someone even said “the snake was the first influencer”.

Mom was 12, dude. I know you and your priests think that’s an appropriate age of consent but it certainly is not.
